Brantôme Report

For once, head north of the department towards “the tranquil gardens of Brantôme".
Melody and Robert Stanton are the proud owners of these magnificent gardens. Robert worked in banking in England all his life but secretly dreamed of becoming a landscape gardener, like his father. Being a (too) reasonable man, he waited until his retirement to make his dream a reality by acquiring this fabulous estate just a stone's throw from Brantôme. 
Since then he has continued to plant and maintain his estate and willingly shares his passion with all visitors, but as only Melody speaks a little French you will need to be bilingual.

As one of the occasional visitors (I shoot couples in the garden quite regularly), I had the chance to share a few glasses of rosé with Robert. It was during a somewhat boozy discussion, in the shade of one of the magnificent cypress trees that stand in front of the house, that Robert asked me to take some aerial photos of the garden for their communication. 
Unfortunately, we were at the end of the season, with few colors and especially cold lights due to the presence of clouds despite numerous postponements. But necessity being the law, I returned with the equipment to take the requested shots.
I'm adding a few photographs taken three months earlier to the gallery to add a bit of warmth to the whole thing.
