Real Estate Périgueux
Real estate report on Périgueux.
Lucile Tauby from Human Immobilier Wilson sent me to do a real estate story in an area of Périgueux that I know well. I've done many reports there; it's a residential, hilly, and above all, quite peaceful area.
A pleasant surprise, upon arriving at the location I realize that I will have the privilege of photographing an architect-designed house from the 60s, it doesn't happen often. It's also the first time in Périgueux that I'm going to do a report in this type of property. We're looking at 4 bedrooms, maybe 5 with the room to the right of the entrance which can be used as an office or bedroom. The bedrooms and bathroom are not extraordinary. Their size is correct but the rooms are classic. What is less so is the living room...
The living room is divided into two parts by an imposing fireplace/library. It is well lit by huge bay windows. The wood paneling on the ceiling brings warmth to the whole, and this mixture of warm tones, wood on the ceiling, and especially the particular smell of this place takes me back to my youth.
I'm really immersed in a nostalgia for the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s, it's a rather strange feeling but not unpleasant, the impression of having already been there, of knowing this place, in short it's curious, in 300 houses it's the first time I've felt this.
The garden behind is on a level, it rises quite high above the roof and provides a nice panorama of the hillsides of Champcevinel...
