Heading to the north of the Dordogne, the Périgord Vert, and more specifically its capital Nontron, to produce a real estate report for Espaces Atypiques Dordogne . It concerns a former 17th-century mill renovated and transformed into a residence and gîte.
Once across the bridge, we are greeted by a pink house, to its left by a blue house (which is not perched on the hill but we can still get there on foot) which is a gîte. It too has been renovated and the interior is large enough to accommodate a large family.
But let's head to the mill and its superb garden with swimming pool. The place is truly very pleasant, tree-lined, quiet despite being very close to the city. The building is full of charm with its flowers and ivy covering the facade. The grounds are immense, 2 hectares, and the owner has placed small statues everywhere to enhance the walk.
The interior of the mill is just like the exterior: welcoming, warm, and spacious. There are so many rooms and therefore plenty of space, it's hard to walk on top of each other.
